What is an online business directory?

An online business directory is a website listing businesses and organizations in categories that can be easily searched. Snap.tt business directory is an innovative, emerging community-based website designed as a hub for ALL local businesses, and will introduce international businesses to Trinidad & Tobago.

Who should register?

All businesses! The Snap.tt business directory is a hub for all businesses, whether small or large, your business will always have a home in our directory.

A user account is required before adding a directory listing to the Snap.tt directory. This helps you manage your listing through your user dashboard. Your personal dashboard will allow for full access to control your listing in the directory.

How do I create a user account?

  1. Select the “Sign In/Sign Up” tab on the top right corner of the webpage.
  2. Select “Signup Up” on the blue tab to continue.
  3. Enter a username, and signup using either your Google or Facebook account.
  4. Agree to the Snap.tt terms and conditions (mandatory for the safety of all users).
  5. Select “Register”.
  6. Congratulations, your user account registration is completed. Your username & password will be emailed to you.
  7. Now proceed to list your business in the Snap.tt directory by choosing a directory listing to continue.

Why should I use my Facebook or Google account to register?

While the popularity of the website is rapidly growing, Facebook or Google login is the easiest and most convenient way to sign-up with us. Moreover, this type of login ensures easy sign-in and access to your account anywhere and anytime, across all smart devices.

How do I sign in to my user account?

  1. Visit the webpage snap.tt
  2. Select the “Sign In/Sign Up” tab at the top right corner of the webpage.
  3. You can either:
    • Select one the Facebook/Google login options, OR
    • Enter the user name & password to which you have logged in previously within the relevant text fields.
  4. Select the red “sign in” button to login to your account.

 

What if I am locked out of my user account?

You have been locked out due to too many invalid login attempts. Please wait five (5) Mins and try again. If you are still unable to access your user account, you can reset your password.

How do I reset my account password?

In the event that you have forgotten your password and you have signed out from your account, you can reset your password immediately. To do this you must:

  1. Simply go to the main webpage and select “Sign In” from the top right-hand corner of the webpage.
  2. Select “Forgot Password” at the bottom of the pop-up menu.
  3. Re-enter the email address that was used upon creating your account with Snap.tt
  4. Select the red “Get New Password” tab to reset.
  5. Your new password was emailed to you. Go to your email inbox or spam/junk folder and retrieve your password.
  6. Attempt to sign-in again using your existing username or email used initially and the new password that was emailed to you.

How do I update/change my user password?

In the event that you have forgotten your password and you wish to update/change it without signing out of your account; you can reset your password immediately from your profile. To do this you must:

  1. Go to your profile. This is located in the top right-hand corner of the webpage.
  2. Hover the control over your profile to access the drop-down menu and select “Update Profile”.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the webpage, in the “Update Password” menu and enter the desired password. Please enter the same password in both fields and use an uppercase letter and a number for a stronger password.
  4. Select the red “Update Profile” tab to update your desired password. Your password has now been successfully updated!

How do I update information on my user account?

Manage your entire experience with just one click. Your profile allows you full control and access to your user account and your business account in one convenient location. Manage passwords, update your email, add pictures and more. To access your user account, you must hover your control over your profile and select “Update Profile” from the dropdown menu.

How do I delete my listing and user account?

It’s unfortunate to see you go. Tell us about your experience, let’s make it right. If you wish to continue, see below: –

  1. Hover your control over your profile icon, and select “Update Profile” from the dropdown menu.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of your profile page and select the red “Delete Account” tab on the lower right side of the webpage.
  3. Choose either to “Delete All Content” this is where ALL CONTENT including all information relating to your user account and directory listing is permanently deleted entirely and CANNOT BE RECOVERED, or choose to delete your user account ONLY, but PERMITtt to continue to feature your directory listing.

Select the red “Confirm Deletion” tab below to confirm the deletion.

My dashboard

Managing both your listing and user account has never been easier; using your very own “My Dashboard”, a personalized suite of features that helps you manage your entire experience with us, all in one convenient location.

To manage your user account:

  • Go to your profile and select “Update Profile” from the drop-down menu.

To manage your directory listing:

  • Go to your profile and select “Dashboard” from the drop-down menu.

OR

  • Select “My Dashboard” from the information section located at the bottom of the webpage.

NB* (dashboard features vary depending on the type of account you may have)

Accessing your dashboard

If you are unable to access your dashboard, this is as a result that no user account was created, or you may have logged out completely from the website. Please proceed to create a user account, or if you already have one, proceed to sign-in to access your dashboard. Your dashboard can be found either:

  1. At the top right-hand corner of the main webpage; hover your control over your profile, and select “dashboard” from the drop-down menu.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the main webpage, and select “My Dashboard” from the information section.

Once you have successfully created your personal user account, you can now proceed to list your business in the Snap.tt Business Directory. To do this you must create a directory listing. There are two (2) types of directory listings to choose from:

  1. Basic Listing
  2. Premium Listing

What is a Basic Listing (Free Account)?

A Basic Listing is a free subscription that allows a user access to limited directory features. This type of account is valid for 365 days and is automatically renewed. This account gives businesses exposure to the digital world. For details about this package, visit our products section on the website.

Creating a Snap.tt Basic Listing (Free Listing):

  1. Firstly, ensure that you are signed in, then select the red “Add Business” tab found at the top right-hand side of the webpage.
  2. Select “Continue” on the Basic Listing package to choose.
  3. Fill in as much information as possible in the relevant fields marked *
  4. Agree to the Snap.tt terms and conditions (mandatory for the safety of all users).
  5. Select the green “Save & Preview” tab to submit your account for review.
  6. Congrats, you have successfully submitted your listing to be featured in the Snap.tt directory. Your listing will be approved within 24-48 hours. Once approved, you will receive an email confirming such.

What is a Premium Listing (Paid Account)?

A Premium Listing is a paid subscription that allows a user premium access to exclusive directory features. This type of account is valid for 365 days upon purchase and can be renewed at your discretion.  This account gives businesses higher visibility on the site, access to special premium features and a first-class look and feel. Creating a Snap.tt Premium Listing (Paid Account):

  1. Firstly, ensure that you are signed in, then select the red “Add Business” tab found at the top right-hand side of the webpage.
  2. Select “Continue” on the Premium Listing package to choose.
  3. Proceed to fill out your business information. (The more information and images will give your business a better visual appeal)
  4. Agree to the Snap.tt terms and conditions. (Mandatory for the safety of all users).
  5. Select the green “Save & Preview”
  6. Proceed to make payment by selecting the blue “Pay & Publish” pop-up tab to continue. (Your payment will not be taken out until your business have been approved by the Snap team)
  7. Enter your personal contact details for debit/credit card processing. NB* Please ensure all fields marked * is filled.
  8. Accept the Snap.tt Terms & Conditions. (The actual charge on your card will vary slightly based on the current exchange rate.)
  9. Select the payment method you wish to make.
  10. Enter your debit/credit card information. (NB* your card information is safe and is NEVER saved or stored on the Snap.tt website. Our payment gateway is approved and powered by Moneris)
  11. Congratulations! Your payment was completed successfully, your invoice was emailed to you. A backup copy was also saved to your personal dashboard. Visit the My Dashboard feature and select “Invoices” to view your purchase. Please wait to have your listing processed. You will be notified via email once successful.

NB* Please note, if your payment was unsuccessful, proceed to contact your local financial institution.

How do I upgrade from the Free listing plan to the Premium listing plan?

Upgrading your basic listing to a premium listing can be done at any time. There are NO costs associated to upgrade. Upgrade your listing from your user dashboard, it’s that easy.

Your dashboard can be found either:

  1. Firstly, ensure that you are signed in then visit the top right-hand corner of the webpage. Hover your control over your profile, and select “dashboard” from the drop-down menu, or, scroll to the bottom of the main webpage, and select “My Dashboard” from the information section.
  2. Select “Listing” from the panel of functions in the grey vertical column on the left side of the page.
  3. You are now viewing the listing that you have submitted, proceed to select from the options “Change Plan”
  4. Select the desired paid plan you wish to upgrade to and select “Change My Plan” in the blue tab below.
  5. Select the blue “Pay & Proceed” tab to continue to checkout.
  6. Enter your contact details in the fields marked * for processing. Ensure all fields are filled with the correct information.
  7. Select the desired payment method
  8. Enter debit or credit card information. (NB* your card information is safe and is NEVER saved or stored on the Snap.tt website. Our payment gateway is approved and powered by Moneris)
  9. Congratulations! Your payment was completed successfully, your invoice was emailed to you. A backup copy was also saved to your personal dashboard. Visit the My Dashboard feature and select “Invoices” to view your purchase. Please wait to have your listing You will be notified via email once successful.

Community Listing

A Community Listing is a special subscription that allows a classification of businesses who are community-based (Nonprofit organisations, charitable societies, religious institutions, foundations etc.) that partner in making a difference in communities around us access to premium directory features at no cost. These types of accounts are legacy plans in collaboration with the “Snap.tt | Communities” rollout project. It’s our way of highlighting and supporting community work and awareness.

This is Snap’s commitment to giving back and helping to enrich the lives of communities around us. Snap.tt | Communities will continue to strengthen and grow and encourage similar work from other corporations in communities. Requesting a Snap.tt Community Listing

Kindly email your request to grow@snap.tt to apply this service.

Approval of free listings:

After submission of your basic listing (Free), it is sent to be processed pending approval.  This process is completed within 24-48 hours. Once approved, you will receive an email notification advising that your account is successfully featured “Live”. This is when your account is now posted on the Snap.tt live website.

Approval of paid listings:

After submission of your premium listing (Paid), it is sent to be processed pending approval.  Your card is not charged immediately upon submission, and will only be charged when approved by Snap.tt, this process is completed within 24 hours. Once approved, you will receive an email notification advising that your account is successfully featured “Live”. This is when your listing is posted live on the Snap.tt website and your card is then charged.

What happens when my business account is rejected?

Unapproved free listings:

If your listing is rejected or not approved, you will receive an email notification advising that your account was not approved. Your account submission will not be posted on the Snap.tt live website. You can proceed to edit or resubmit for approval once again.

Unapproved paid listings:

If your listing is rejected or not approved, you will receive an email notification advising that your account was not approved. Your payment will be redirected to your card within 24 hours and your account submission request will not be posted on the Snap.tt live website. Contact will be made with you to ensure that your request is fulfilled. If we’re unable to facilitate your request then, contact will also be made to you to ensure a smooth process for a refund.

Why was my listing not approved?

Your listing may not be approved for the following reasons:

  1. Your business is in direct competition with Snap.tt
  2. Your listing contains vulgar/explicit content.
  3. All fields were not appropriately filled upon creating your listing. NB* Please provide as much information as possible when creating listings.
  4. Your free/paid listing fails to meet the basic criteria and is missing mandatory information. Basic types of information which must be filled in are: email address, contact number, business image/logo, general location/map address (if not online) and clear detailed business description. This is to help potential customers reach your services/products and provide them with as much information as possible.
  5. For paid listings, if payments are unsuccessful or declined, the listing submission may be rejected until payment is received.
  6. Unregistered financial business services. To protect the safety of all users, “unregistered” financial services will not be permitted to promote services on the Snap.tt platform. We do not condone, promote or support illegal/illegitimate financial services. This policy prohibits ads that promote financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices, such as binary options, initial coin offerings and cryptocurrency. All financial services must be aligned with the respective financial guidelines laid out by the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago and the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

Snap.tt reserves the right to accept or decline any submission of free/paid listings for any other reason that may not be stated.
